Meredith Grace // Facebook // Tumblr

Age: 25

Occupation: Pet Sitter, Volunteer, Housewife

Where are you from: I grew up in Dallas, PA, lived in Hawaii for three
years, and now I'm based in Virginia

Favorite photographer to work with: Given that I've just moved, I'll
say my favorite from each area. Amanda Hamilton was my girl in Hawaii
and so far I have a few favorites in Virginia. Gregory Hodges, Darwin
Alberto, and Anna Marie Keenan.

Artist/Photographer/location of featured photo(s):
1.) Amanda Hamilton Photography, Oahu HI
2.) Amanda Hamilton Photography, Barber's Point, Oahu HI
3.) Hungry Eye Photography, Oahu HI
4.) Hungry Eye Photography, Oahu HI
5.) Darwin Alberto Photography, Hampton Roads VA
6.) AMK Photography, Hampton Roads VA

Tell me about your featured photo(s). When were they taken? Why are
they your favorite? They've all been taken within the past year. I
moved from Hawaii to Virginia in October, and the bathing suit photo
was the last shoot I did in Hawaii. Goodness, it was so hard to
choose! I try to give a good variety when I share images. The red
picture with my husband's shotgun really highlights my eyes, and the
blue bathing suit shot is just so incredibly epic that I want everyone
to see it! Haha Amanda did an amazing job with that whole series. I
included my photos with Marc Orbito of Hungry Eye because they're some
of my best cheesecakes, and I will take any chance to include my cat
in anything. The last two were taken recently. I'm blown away with
Darwin's shots and so happy because that modern yet retro, evil queen
feeling was exactly what I was going for. The final one was a lot of
fun and really expressive of my personality. I'm quite the nerd.

How long have you been modeling/enjoying photography? I started
modeling at the beginning of 2012 and realized that I absolutely love
it. I was shocked, honestly. My major in college was a mix of graphic
design, photography, and television production so I'm very comfortable
with being a techie and hiding from the camera. I've been enjoying
photography since middle school. Having that past is very helpful when
it comes to posing and planning out my outfits and props.

Who are your favorite Pinup Models? Past or present inspiration? At
risk of coloring my nose brown, Katty Delux is one of my favorites and
my inspiration. I love her positive attitude and compassion. I also
adore Betty Chantel and Micheline Pitt. And, of course, there is my
pinup bestie Kristina Paulk.

What is some of your favorite clothing lines? Favorite Designers? My
favorite clothing lines are Pinup Girl Clothing, Trashy Diva, and now
Betty Le Bonbon. They all have wonderfully unique things. Pinup Girl
Clothing is how I first got into the pinup world. I had read a book by
Lily Burana, friended her on facebook, saw beautiful posts of some
pictures, liked that photographer's page who happened to be Laura
Byrnes, and that brought me to her clothing line! Oh I was sold
immediately and everything has changed for the better since.

If you could shoot with any photographer, past or present, who would
it be? Celeste Giuliano, hands down.

What is your favorite color and why? Oh goodness, this changes daily.
It's typically a water tone, but on some days I'm all about hot pink
or red, haha. Usually I just go with teal since it's a mix of blue and
green which are my top two. They're so pretty and calming.

If you could have dinner with anyone, living or dead who would it be?
My grandma, Dorothea. She died years before I was born. There are
stories of her love of shoes and pictures of her dressing up for when
my grandpa went off to boot camp and also when he came home. She
sounds a lot like me and I think we could have really bonded over
clothes! I'd also love to meet with Audrey Hepburn. She is so
beautiful in spirit.

How did you get your model name? My model name isn't a big change of
my real name. I love my first name, Meredith, so I really didn't want
to drop it. Grace is my middle name, the name of my great aunt, and
Grace Kelly was absolutely divine so I thought using that as a second
name would be quite fitting.
