Where are you from?

I am originally from Duluth, Minnesota, but I live part-time in Glasgow, Scotland, and part-time in Seoul, South Korea.

How did you get your store/business started?

When I started studying at the University of Glasgow in 2010, I founded my theatre company.  We have always done offbeat shows, our most recent being the only stage production of British cult novel Good Omens with the permission of the authors.  Afterwards we decided that we wanted to reach a larger audience, and to work on something original.  We decided to make CALEDONIA, based on several novels I had written.

What inspires you?

Many things, but for CALEDONIA, my thirteen years of studying Scottish history and my current academic specialisation in Scottish folklore.  I have also lived in Glasgow for several years and wanted to combine Scottish romance with day-to-day life in modern Scotland.

How long have you been working and what is some of your favorite things about your job?

I have been writing and acting since I was about seven years old.  I have been directing since 2010.  I love seeing everything come together in the end; that moment where your actors are about to step onstage, or the completed show is about to air, when you can think 'We did it - we made that together'.  I also love the cameraderie that develops among the cast and crew; the people in the company, and the cast/crew of CALEDONIA, are all good friends.

What celebrity would you most like have praise from or work with?

There are many; the one I admire the most is Xiah Junsu, for his accomplishments and ability to push the envelope.  He is changing things for entertainment in Asia and his story is an impressive one.If you had to use only one word to describe yourself, what would it be?

Driven.

What is your biggest pet peeve?

Creatives who drop out of projects without warning.

What are your favorite websites?

Eat Your Kimchi, incompetech, anything social media related - and of course our own website!

What would people be surprised to learn about you?  I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a rare connective tissue disease that makes simple things such as standing, typing, or walking extremely difficult.
