Bob, from Eye Pajamas, was sweet enough to send me an special sleep mask that is beautiful hand crafted.  I cannot wait to use it in a professional photo shoot setting.  Until then I will just have fun with it in my personal life :)

Please stop by the website, linked above, or stop by the Facebook page.  Whether you are looking for a sleep mask for actual sleep, or one for a prop for an upcoming shoot, this is the place to shop.  Everything is custom and can be made to your specifications.

Where are you from or where is your store located?  I'm a one person operation, striving to make the best sleepmasks on the market. I work out of my home and do most of my marketing through my website, www.eyepajamas.com

What does your store/brand specialize in?
I think Eye Pajamas is an excellent name for a sleepmask because people wear pajamas to bed and I always though a sleepmask is pajamas for the eyes.

How did you get your brand started? I came up with the name almost 30 years ago, toyed around with the idea for some time but started making them in earnest 18 years ago. I took a website building class and put together my own website. It has gone through a few generations since then.

What inspires you? I love looking at new fabrics, there's moments when I say, "That would make a great sleepmask!" That happened with the unicorns. I almost get obsessed with an idea until I see it come into creation. I love to take pieces of fabric to make appliques. I made one with a violin some years ago because and thought it would look good and I kept it because I didn't know who would want it. I messaged a violin playing friend of mine a few weeks ago about it and she said she would love to have it. She loves it and it has found a home. I love creating like that and it's the icing on the cake when my products find their calling.

There are so many fabrics available, there is something for everyone, something to match each personality. I love to hear someone say, "Oh look at that! I've never seen a sleepmask like that before, I have to have it!"
I also work with iron on monograms and lettering to personalized my sleepmasks. Sometimes I add lace as an adornment.

What celebrity would you most like to wear/use your items?
I have seen Sarah Jessica Parker with various sleepmasks over the years. I would be thrilled if she would wear one of mine, especially if I could customize it with SJP or a large S with a heart applique. Also, any celebrity who is on the glamorous side. Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's. I just thought yesterday I'd like to make a sleepmask with Gaga on it. I think she might really like it.

If you had to use only one word to describe yourself, what would it be?
I wouldn't use this word to describe my whole self but when it came to sleepmasks, I would say "quirky".

What is your biggest pet peeve?
My biggest pet peeve is poorly made products and not getting your money's worth. I try to combat that. I love to support websites that try to do what I'm doing.

What are your favorite websites or companies you love to support?
www.eyepajamas.com

What would people be surprised to learn about you?
People would be surprised to find out that I handcraft sleepmasks in my home.

Stay Sweet,
Katty Delux
